How to choose an electronic stringing machine?
How to choose an electronic stringing machine? After 23 years of experience and having served thousands of customers all over the world, we can say that the Protennis and Rhapso stringing machines are and remain reliable over time. It is our customers who affirm this and all our gratitude goes to them. We pay a lot of attention to details and always choose the best components with which to build our machines. We also have a highly appreciated after-sales service: our customers can always count on us.
However, a customer can only verify this after purchasing our products, so after having personally verified. We try to give precise and transparent communications, however we are aware that finding your way among the many proposals on the web is difficult.
Some stringers choose a famous brand because they think it always represents the highest quality. It should be checked, but surely this choice has a high price due to the expensive advertising campaigns.
Other stringers compare seemingly similar machines and then choose the one that costs less. If you can’t see the differences between products or technology inside the “box”, the low price is always tempting. Some companies know this and exploit it by producing low-cost machines with obsolete technologies, paying a little more attention to aesthetics.
Let’s take a practical example.
There are machines that, to apply tension on the strings, use technologies used in the 1980s with the aggravating circumstance of a poor assembly. So these machines look electronic but them are electromechanical.
How to recognize an electronic stringing machine from an electromechanical one?
Having a display is not enough! How do you set the tension (KG / LBS) on your stringing machine?
If you do it through a knob (by turning it) it means that you control a rheostat connected to a mechanical spring dynamometer. These types of dynamometers are undersized, produced with poor steels that lose their characteristics, hence accuracy, quite quickly.
We have found this several times by testing on models returned from customers, but sometimes directly from the customer himself. He was amazed to see the difference between the tension indicated on the display and the real tension detected by a professional dynamometer applied to the string: this technology has nothing to do with a precise and reliable 100% electronic detection.
Another important thing concerns the assembly of the components which is handcrafted and the wiring is questionable. The power supplì is located inside the box, not isolated from the rest of the cables, this means that the dispersion of heat can alter operation and make use dangerous.
To set the tension on a Protennis electronic stringing machine, the buttons on the control panel are used with an accuracy of 0.1kg (10gr). On the display you will never see oscillations of the numbers during traction because the software acts on a stable and precise 100% electronic load cell. Protennis electronic stringing machines are latest generation computers and guarantee the combination of precision and reliability.
We use two softwares respectively for the 480Plus model with rotating traction and the RHAPSO model with linear traction.
Video tutorials are available for our customers on how to best use all the functions of the control panel.
We cannot know the budget you want to allocate to the purchase of a stringing machine. This is why we offer a complete and distinct assortment for business needs, but we never sacrifice quality to achieve a low cost and we never invest too much money in expensive advertising campaigns because we want to offer the best quality / price ratio.
We have a CE certification and we build in a modular way and with the best components. The current is transformed from 220V to 24V with a transformer external to the machine. We want to eliminate risks but also to be able to intervene remotely if something does not work.
Before being delivered or shipped, a Protennis stringing machine must pass two quality checks: one after assembly and the other before being shipped.
We do not use dynamometers but only load cells, differentiating them according to work needs.
The Protennis 480Plus stringing machine is designed for a target home stringers (600/700 strings per year)
The Protennis RHAPSO stringing machine is designed for a target professional stringers (1000/3000 strings per year).
Innovations are always the result of analysis and study in order to make significant improvements for our congenital passion. The quality of the materials used always remains the main cornerstone of a component or better: of its reliability over time.
